Valanjanganam waterfalls in Kerala's Kuttikkanam neighbourhood of the Idukki district has a mischievous moniker, ‘Ninnumullipara’, literally meaning ‘stand and pee’! The waterfall is about 75 ft tall and frequently misty at the top.
The scenery is picture-perfect but the waterfall tumbles off the cliff as though fired from a cannon. The waterfall is framed by canopies of trees from either side. If you are craving a hot cuppa, pull over at the roadside close to the falls and enjoy it with the sound of the gushing waters in the background. The waterfall is seasonal though, being visible only from June to September.
